The festival campsite is located at a local school, on one level well-drained field. In order to camp, you must have a valid Festival Ticket for the nights you are on-site. This is a new location for Folk Week – so look for more information coming soon. The fields are marked out with wide aisles and plenty of space. The amenities on site include outside portable toilets and showers and the site is managed by Folk Week volunteers and professional security. In 2018, there will be strictly no parking on the field – no cars are allowed to be parked next to tents.

Cars must be parked in the nearby car park after unloading but the car park is next to the field. There are no electrical hook-ups on-site.

The Festival Campsite is for everyone who is involved at the heart of Folk Week – Festival Ticket holders, morris sides, musicians and workforce.

Camping on the Festival site is ONLY available with a Festival Ticket.

Included in your Festival Ticket with camping is a lot of fun stuff and lots to do for all ages.

A wonderful theatre

This is right on site, for intimate events. The theatre will host some terrific concerts, the popular late-night Music Hall, a couple of workshops and perhaps even a little bit of late night jazz.

The Dance Hall

Just a short stroll from your tent or caravan, with a fantastic programme organised by Madeleine Smith with several guest callers and some first rate music. Workshops and dances from 10am - 10.30pm. Get those dancing shoes on!

Panic Circus

The red and yellow tent where children can try out diablo, tight-rope walking and other circus skills from early morning to early evening - and a special show-case at the end of the week to show off your new skills.

The Creative Tent

A space for the younger folkie to make something wonderful! Sessions daily.

New this year Hublet

We know that the acoustics in the main cafe area were not the best, so look out for the space we are creating within that area this year. We've called it Hublet, and we hope it will be a space which better lends itself to the late night sessions, workshops, and some children's events.

Campsite booking

We don’t sell camping spaces without Festival Tickets, so everyone who wants to camp must be a Festival Ticket holder. You can camp for just one night, a couple of midweek nights – or a weekend – or a full week – just let us know what combination you would like.
