Alison is  passionate about calling for ceilidhs, and it is an important part of her career as a professional folk musician.

She aims for clear, calm, efficient walkthroughs (with a little bit of gentle humour) and always aims to include a few more unusual dances to keep things interesting for regular ceilidh-goers whilst still catering to the ability of newcomers. As a dancer herself,  she always find ceilidhs more fun when there’s a new dance she’s not seen before!

Apart from calling, Alison is also playing with Crowdy Kit at Broadstairs and they are playing for the Country Dance programme and leading music workshops.
