London based acapella group Broomdasher have an outstanding reputation for their harmonies, arrangements and engaging live performances. All their recordings are part of the British Library’s National Sound Archive as “an outstanding example of grass roots English folk today”. They performed in numerous other groups and solo before getting together six years ago, after a chance meeting at Cecil Sharp House.

In 2021 they successfully toured their specially commissioned folk musical commemorating the 150th birthday of Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady author Edith Holden with a show described as “stunning” by Folking and “Wonderful” by London Folk magazines.

This year, they are collaborating with accordionist Paul Hutchinson’s instrumental group Coracle to turn folk songs into hymns in a concert tour called From Pub to Pulpit visiting around twenty British Cathedrals, which also features the organs, choirs and audiences, to celebrate the 150th birthday Ralph Vaughan Williams.

They are performing a special unplugged version of From Pub to Pulpit with Coracle at Folk Week 2022.
