The Captain’s Beard are a pirate folk rock group from Brighton, (the drinking town with a fishing problem.) Their tunes are a mix of the Pogues meet Tenacious D. Expect songs about beards and inappropriate mermaids. They also perform traditional sea shanties and Celtic music with tight harmony singing.
They are famous for their relentless live energy. They play at least a hundred gigs every year and pour everything they have into every performance like a bunch of crazy whales.
Their version of “John Kanakanaka” has three million streams on Spotify and will be featuring in the movie “Operation Taco Garys.”
They have three albums “Same Ship Different Day” “Completely Tankard” and “Cannonballs Deep.” They are very proud of these album names.
They tour all over the U.K. as well as The Netherlands, Germany and Belgium.
