Dampier’s Round

Moira leads the band, usually on her purple Violectra fiddle or her electric Camac harp. She arranges and writes some music and is the one in charge at workshops. Peter plays guitar, bass footpedals and sometimes flute.

They are called Dampier’s Round, because they lived on Ascension Island, on a road named Dampier’s Round after William Dampier, buccaneer, explorer and Admiralty Hydrographer, who was wrecked at Ascension in 1701.
