False Colours

False Colours

Together since 2018, award-winning British indie-folk duo ‘False Colours’ bring a refreshing blend of honesty and playful self-deprecation to the stage as they perform intricate style of ‘happy/sad, rhythmic, jangle indie folk music.

Their inventive and ear worm-inducing song writing combines traditional open and fresh sounding folk style tunes, with a tenor guitar sound which is reminiscent of 1960’s jangle pop. -which David plays both rhythmically and melodically, at the same time as providing a percussive drive via a foot pedal cajon. When combined with Polly’s warm and characterful basslines and the never-ending vocal harmonies in their interesting but well blended singing styles, the thoughtful lyrics come to life.

Their first EP came to the attention of BBC Introducing and has received regular airplay since.
“This is real original music played and sung from the heart and mind and delivered with a huge amount of charm and warmth.” Dan Fraser
