Madeleine learned her art from some outstanding teachers, including Pat Shaw and Ethel Anderson for English country dancing and Sam Sherry and Pat Tracey for Lancashire clog.
She is always in demand at festivals and dance events all over the country and combines an emphasis on style and technique with a wide knowledge of country dancing and its historical context.

She is the dance director of the country dance programme at Broadstairs, at The Sarah Thorne Theatre, halfway between the campsite and the town. All dance events will take place here, including the Country Dance workshops, Jack’s Night Ceilidh and the Playford Ball.
