Weaving the sounds of Appalachia with Celtic balladry, Scottish musician Malcolm MacWatt is forging connections and friendships on both sides of the Atlantic with the likes of Gretchen Peters, Eliza Carthy and Kris Drever appearing on his current album Settler. His unique blend of folk and roots music has earned him superb reviews and extensive airplay and brought him to the attention of boutique US label Need To Know Music. MacWatt has recently worked with grammy-award winning producer Matt Winegar and a number of international folk/Americana musicians on a project (The Broken Bairns) to be released in 2023. He is currently working with Marry Waterson on several videos for his next album Dark Harvest.
