Powerhouse are a five piece ceilidh band from Sheffield consisting of melodeon, flute, electric guitar, bass and drums. Formed in 2017, they have firmly established themselves on the Sheffield ceilidh circuit and further afield with well-received performances at Holmfirth Festival of Folk, IVFDF 2025, Whitby Folk Week and Towersey Festival under their belts. They combine traditional folk tunes with rock riffs, heavy metal and pop culture to tempt even the most determined non-dancer.
