Shake Me Up Sally is a collaboration of Sally Ironmonger & Brian Carter and Capella (Tony & Lesley Petty). Two highly respected duos, coming together to produce rich vocal harmonies with expert musicianship. You can expect a varied blend of songs from a range of influences. You can also expect to be seriously entertained. It’s folk, but not as we know it.
Sally Ironmonger & Brian Carter have been writing, performing and bickering together for more than 20 years. They have a quirky and distinctive style, and they aim to entertain, with songs that make you laugh, or cry.
Capella (Tony & Lesley Petty) have been enchanting audiences with their harmonies at clubs and festivals since 1996. Their eclectic mix of songs, both traditional and contemporary, are delivered with warmth, affection and humour, with the emphasis on harmonies and participation.
