The Altones

Unique and infectious northern soul classics, sat on sixties reggae and ska rhythms. The Altones are; Nigel Feist – Vocals/Harmonica, Diane Dunn – Vocals, Vicki Robinson – Vocals, Steve Harrington – Guitar, Tez Davey – Drums, and Jools – Double Bass.

The Altones, pure alchemy. Northern soul classics reimagined in 60’s Jamaica, taking ska and reggae rhythms and laying them under three soulful voices. Pure joyful vibes. No brass, no keyboards, but double bass and harmonica to great effect. With superb musicianship and superlative backing vocals, The Altones quickly built a devoted following. The original frontman was the legendary Al Clarke, revered for his technical skills on harmonica and wonderful quirky quips. Heartbreakingly, for the band and fans alike, Al passed away in 2024. He had suggested Nigel Feist as his successor to this project that he was immensely proud of, and so with his blessing and in his memory, a new chapter has begun. Delighted fans are packing out gigs around Kent and London, and European festivals.
