Camping

The festival campsite is located at Dane Court School, Broadstairs Road CT10 2RT, on a two level well-drained field. In order to camp, you must have a valid Festival Ticket for the nights you are on-site but you can camp for one night, during the week or at the weekend or for the full week.

The fields are marked out with wide aisles and plenty of space. The amenities on site include outside portable toilets and showers and the site is managed by Folk Week volunteers and professional security. There will is strictly no parking on the field – no cars are allowed to be parked next to tents.

Cars must be parked in the nearby car park after unloading but the car park is next to the field. There are no electrical hook-ups on-site.

The Festival Campsite is for everyone who is involved at the heart of Folk Week – Festival Ticket holders, morris sides, musicians and workforce. The general spirit of Folk Week is one of consideration for others so there are noise curfews that we ask campers to observe – especially as the school is near residential areas. If you feel unable to keep the noise down, you may be asked to leave the site.

All under 18 year olds must be accompanied by adult Festival Ticket holders on the same booking. Unaccompanied under 18 year olds will not be admitted.

Only guide dogs are allowed on site – no other animals.

On site facilities

The campsite will be open for Festival Ticket holders from 10.00am on Friday 6th August and close at midday on Saturday 14th August

CAMPSITE BOOKING

We don’t sell camping spaces without Festival Tickets, so everyone who wants to camp must be a Festival Ticket holder. You can camp for just one night, a couple of midweek nights – or a weekend – or a full week – just let us know what combination you would like.
