June update for Folk Week 2021

Folk Week is an outdoor festival this year. Plans were put in place so that if there were a delay in the road map roll-out, the festival could still go ahead with the new format and the new venue – the Festival Arena with an outdoor stage where all the ticketed concerts will be held. So, it appears there will be a delay of four weeks – to 19 July. Even if Step 3 does not progress to Step 4 on this date, Folk Week will still go ahead with socially distanced outdoor concerts in the Festival Arena. We are still planning to have other outdoor events at the Bandstand and the Craft Fair has been revamped to be open air and not in marquees. We will have to wait a little longer before we can let you know the full programme of free music in pubs – but please do keep checking the website and our Facebook page. We really appreciate your patience and support and we really want to bring back some music to Broadstairs this summer.
