SUMMARY:Music at The Bandstand with Sir Reel Clarks
DESCRIPTION:The Bandstand 				\n				\n				\n				\n									The seafront bandstand is the home of daily entertainment from 10.45am-8pm throughout the Festival Week. Music & song\, morris dance displays and of course – the morning Hobby Horse Club\, where Zoe and Peter from Inspiration Creative get all generations singing and dancing together – and wearing some very strange outfits.  They are ably supported by our wonderful band-in-residence Giddy Yup and mayhem is provided by the IME Hooden Horses – the living embodiment of the festival logo and Clarence the Dragon makes a much anticipated appearance too.  Do you know the song? ” I know a friendly dragon and Clarence is his name. He lives by the sea in Broadstairs – and now he’s back again!” Afternoons see the Bandstand filled with music and dance as our visiting Morris Dance sides take turns on the boards to entertain you\, displays of several different traditions can be seen: Cotswold\, Northwest\, Molly\, Border\, Rapper Sword. In the evenings music fills the air with our programme of bands and entertainment. The bandstand is located next to the Craft and Music fair and overlooking the sea. There is a seated area\, plus a grassed area and toilets\, including disabled toilet. Generations of children have fallen in love with Folk Week at this venue – and now they bring their children and grand-children. All the entertainment at the Bandstand is free but please give generously to our collectors and lottery ticket sellers – everything goes back into bringing Folk Week back next year. 								\n				\n				\n				\n									\n					\n						\n									Tickets for events at The Bandstand
