Young Folk

We are delighted to be able to put on events for you this year, albeit not our usual full programme but we hope you will have great fun, keep safe and build some amazing Folk Week memories. 

Fun every morning (Saturday 7th-Friday 13th August) at the Bandstand with the Hobby Horse Club, lead by Zoe and Peter of Inspiration Theatre and regular visitors the Hooden Horses will be up to mischief. 

This year’s Hobby Horse Club themes are:

Saturday 7th – Dress to impress

Sunday 8th – Grandparent’s Day

Monday 9th – Tropical Desert

Tuesday 10th – Bees and Flowers

Wednesday 11th – Back to Front Day

Thursday 12th – Pirate Day

Friday 13th – Super Hero Day! Clarence the Dragon’s Birthday

The Festival Arena at The Memorial Recreation Ground is free to enter in the Mornings (10-noon) for access to the food and drink concessions.

Monday 9th      – Granny Green’s Science world for children

Wednesday 11th – Bandstand – Appalachian Clog

Thursday 12th    Granny Green’s Science world for children

Friday 13th           – Bandstand – Appalachian Clog

Daily – from 10am The Albion Knitters will be in the Festival Arena to show you new skills, or just come along for a chat- collection event.

If you have booked a camping ticket, our Children’s Games are available at the Hub daily.
