Muco workshop – Being a Creative Troubadour: Medieaval poetry and song

August 10 AT 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Learn some of the oldest songs in the English language with ‘Creative Troubadour’ Muco. All abilities welcome. Explore the foundations of medieval English folk song and poetry, from as early as the 8th century, entering the realm of bards, scops, travelling minstrels and troubadours with this introduction to pronunciation, melody, and meaning. As a budding ‘creative troubadour’ yourself, learn to approach historic folk music as a living art form: a space for both historical engagement and creative reimagination, exploring how medieval music and poetry can speak to us now.
