Festival Terms and Conditions including Ticket Policy

Festival Tickets As well as individual event tickets we sell Festival Week, Festival Lite, Weekend or Day Tickets, with or without camping. These are in the form of wristbands. Festival Day/Weekend/Week Tickets cover all events* on the relevant day (subject to space). *All events except: pre-festival concerts and ticketed events at The Wrotham Arms.

Festival lite tickets (Week and Weekend) include all afternoon concerts, small venue events, Ceilidhs and dances at Sarah Thorne Theatre and workshops. Lite tickets are for people who want to pick and choose which evening concerts they attend; these can be purchased separately.

Day Tickets will be available online up until 6pm the day before the applicable ticket date.

Family Tickets are for 2 adults and 2 children aged between 7 and 15. Under 7s are free for most events* (*except for ticketed events specially aimed at young children).

You must always retain the wristband on your person during Folk Week. Your ticket will be invalidated if it is removed, altered, or defaced. Wristbands are not transferable.

Concessionary Full Week Festival Tickets apply to people of pensionable age, registered disabled and unemployed people. Proof of entitlement should be emailed to info@broadstairsfolkweek.org.uk. When booking, please advise the Box Office if you require any assistance. A separate information sheet for Disabilities is available to download.

Festival Tickets with camping are priced per person, not per tent or caravan. Festival Tickets with camping are issued at check-in on the campsite with proof of booking.

Single Event tickets These are in the form of e-tickets, unless printed tickets have been requested to be posted in advance or collected from the Box office from 11am Monday 3rd August.

Please arrive at least five minutes before your chosen events, or we cannot guarantee entry.  Space will be reserved for individual event ticket holders until 5 minutes before the event start time, after which the space may be offered to others in the queue.

Child and Youth Tickets Individual event tickets can be purchased as Adult and Child (under 16s) 

Under 7s go free (unless specified in programme) but please notify us that they are in your party if you are camping.

Children under 14 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all performances and under 16 at any licensed bar area.

Festival tickets are available with a Youth option – 16 and 17 year olds. Must be purchased in conjunction with an adult ticket.

Tickets are available online, or in person at the Festival Box Office during Folk Week.

 

 

General Ticket Terms and Conditions for all types of Tickets & General Refund Policy

Tickets of all types are limited in number, sold on a first come, first-serve basis.

Tickets cannot be exchanged, transferred, re-sold, refunded or re-issued. Tickets will not be replaced if lost.

Once tickets have been purchased at a certain price, there will be no refunds of balance difference on other ticket options.

Broadstairs Folk Week reserves the right to alter or change the programme without prior notification. Every effort will be made to carry out the programme as advertised. Tickets are sold subject to Folk Week’s right to alter or change the published programme, including but not limited to, the artist and performer line-up, playing times, festival venue or any other aspect of the festival.

Adults are aged 18+; Youths are 16 & 17; Children’s tickets are between 7 and 15.

No tickets may be used for competitions, promotions or hospitality packages without the written consent of Broadstairs Folk Week, and any ticket so used may be voided and the holder may be refused admission.

Any details which you provide when booking, are held and processed lawfully in accordance with the Data Protection Act. Your details are not passed on to any third parties but may be used to send you information regarding future Broadstairs Folk Week events.

These Terms and Conditions are subject to change at any time without prior notice. Any such change shall not affect any contract between us at the time of such change.

Ticket holders give their express consent to the use of their actual or simulated likeness in connection with the production, exhibition, advertising or exploitation of any film, video and/or audio recording of this event, and/or element thereof in any/all media throughout the world.

Folk Week does not accept responsibility for any losses of valuables.

Folk Week will not make any refunds or meet any costs of alternative travel arrangements as a result of an event not running to advertised times.

Venues Policy – Festival Venues Please ensure you arrive at least five minutes early for your chosen events, or we cannot guarantee entry. There may be a delay of entry to venues if sound-checking is being carried out.

Broadstairs Folk Week reserves the right to refuse entry to Festival Venues.

There is no reserved seating or seating provided in Festival Venues.

No picnics, alcohol or drugs are allowed in Festival Venues.

No gazebos, fireworks, tables are allowed in Festival Venues.

The use of audio, audiovisual or video equipment is strictly prohibited, and such devices shall not be brought into venues without prior arrangement with the Creative Director.

Any person who fails to comply with instructions from a steward or other person acting for the management may be ejected from the venue or campsite.

Dogs/pets are not admitted to the Festival campsite or indoor venues, except assistance animals.

In the event of very bad weather, Outdoor events  may be cancelled but we will make that judgement on the day. If rain is forecast, please come prepared.
