Clarence the Dragon has been a prominent figure at Broadstairs Folk Week for much of its 60 year run. He comes out of hibernation for the festival and you can meet him everyday at the Hobby Horse Club, in the parade on Saturday, and he will occasionally make special appearances around the festival! As the song says, “he likes eating money for his dinner every day” so get your pennies ready!!
Invictus Mugistis Equinus (I.M.E), also known as the hooden horses are iconic symbols of Broadstairs Folk Week and are known for providing mischief and chaos wherever they go. They can be found every morning during Hobby Horse Club, during the Saturday parade and they may make other appearances around the festival, so hold on to your hats!
