Young Folk introducing stage

As part of our 60th Anniversary festival this August, we are welcoming applications from Young Folk across Kent to come and perform at our brand-new Community Hub venue in Pierremont Park.

There are opportunities for young musicians and singers from 10-25 years old to showcase their talents every day, from Saturday 9th August to Friday 15th August, in our new grassroots venue in the park!

“All music is folk music. I ain’t never heard a horse sing a song.” – Louis Armstrong

Not sure if your music would be ‘folk’? If you are writing from the heart, in an acoustic style, or singing songs about everyday people and experiences, we want to hear from you.

Time slots are available between 12:30-3pm daily, with huge bonuses including listings on our website, in the keepsake 60th Anniversary festival brochure and a chance to win ‘Best New Act’ at Folk Week – an award to be given at the end of the festival.

Be part of history by joining in at our Young Folk Introducing Stage, Pierremont Park Community Hub, in our 60th year of Folk Week. Applications to perform as part of our Young Folk program of events can be made by filling in our signup sheet online, alternatively, print and share!

Be part of a spectacular lineup including some of the biggest names in the entire UK Folk Scene.
