Join longstanding festival musician and author Doug Hudson for a special reading from his memoir *Howzatski?* — the true story of an extraordinary 1980s journey across Soviet Russia on the Trans-Siberian Railway.

Travelling from Kent to Vladivostok with a cricket bat and a sense of adventure, Doug and his kilted companion taught Russians to play cricket on station platforms across Siberia. Along the way came ferry strikes, missing visas, suspicious officials, drunken toasts and unforgettable encounters behind the Iron Curtain.

Funny, fascinating and full of music and memories, this event offers a unique glimpse into a vanished world.
