Broadstairs Sailing Club
The lovely Sailing Club, where you not only get up close and personal with some of our guests but can do so looking at the fantastic views over Viking Bay, hosts some of our most popular events.
The Face the Music morning slot is a coffee and a chat with a selection of festival musicians. Usually hosted by long-time festival stalwarts, Tom and Barbara Brown, who have also run the Singaround in the evening for more years than we care to remember, we are going to miss them a lot this year but wish them both a speedy return to full health. In the meantime, holding the fort are some familiar names who have sped to the rescue – including Keith Kendrick and Sylvia Needham, Derek Gifford, John and Di Cullen and Gavin & Julie Atkin. Thank you to all of you for stepping into some big shoes!
Sally Ironmonger hosts lunchtime acoustic concerts– your chance to see guests in a very intimate setting, and the afternoons offer up a variety of smaller concerts, Meet the Artists and Folk Clubs.
Meet – Folk Week artistes in an intimate setting
Acoustic Hour – Sally Ironmonger introduces a festival guest of the day
Folk Club – Your chance to be a star with daily guests
Come All Ye – Come and participate or watch at this popular event.
Licensed with a good snack bar, the Sailing Club is accessed via outside steps; disabled access by prior arrangement. No ground floor toilets.
